Google Contacts Introduces Birthday Notifications
Google Contacts has started rolling out a new feature that brings birthday notifications to its platform. This update aims to help users remember and celebrate the special occasions of their contacts, while also providing convenient cues and reminders across various Google services.
How it works
When you open the Highlights tab in Google Contacts, you will see a new “Add birthdays” card under the For You section. This card will prompt you to save the birthdays of your contacts. Once you have saved a contact’s birthday, you will see a cake icon next to their name in the Contacts list.
You can also add a birthday notification for an individual contact. To do this, open the contact’s profile and tap on the overflow menu. Then, select “Add birthday notification.”
Birthday notifications can help you stay connected with your friends and family by reminding you of their special days. This can help you send them a card, a gift, or simply a quick message to wish them a happy birthday.
Birthday notifications can also help you stay organized by keeping track of when your contacts’ birthdays are. This can be helpful for planning events, such as birthday parties or get-togethers.
